Little Boxy Pouch Tutorial

Hello :) I hope everyone is having a great weekend tomorrow! I learnt how to thread a machine when I was primary 5 and my first masterpiece was a barbie doll's dress. During the process of learning I break off the needle on the machine for uncounted times :( But, from the uncounted times i learnt how to sew! :)  From my humble opinion, the key to learning how to sew is practice! Well, this is a good one to start Little Boxy Pouch Tutorial! ( Click the link for tutorial)

Have a nice day ahead!

DIY Paper Flower Bouquets

Thanks to Oh Happy Day I came across this lovely Paper Flower Cone Bouquets! What a good combination of ice cream and flowers, just can't stop admiring. These DIY Paper Flower Cone Bouquets are so much fun for any occasion.

Step 1: Using Jordan’s party hat template, scale down the size to fit your cone and draw it diagonally on the striped paper.
Step 2: Cut around the template.
Step 3: Wrap it around the cone and secure it with double-sided tape.

Step 4: For the flowers, I created a rose from my tutorial here.
Step 5: Glue gun the skewer to the inside of the flower and hold in place until dry.
Step 6: Cut out leaves from the green paper.
Step 7: Roll them around a pencil to create shape.
Step 8: Dab some glue onto the tip of the leaf and attach to the cone paper.
Step 9: Voila!

2012 Calender Designs

While come across in looking for calender ideas. I found this lovely calender 2012 with watercolor illustrations by Le Petit Elefant and lettering/layout by Paper & Type, features a different, monochromatic scene of communication on each seasonal page. Tear along the perforated line after you’re done with each page to create an art print, and come december, there’s a special postcard that you can use to send holiday wishes.

More ideassss :) :) Sloe Gin Fizz’s 2012 calendar features twelve months of illustrated goodness. The seasonally-inspired illustrations are hand drawn and digitally colored by Sloe Gin Fizz’s own Nicole Ray.

Nature-inspired watercolor illustrations are featured in each month of Bookhou at Home’s 2012 wall calendar, which features an ample amount of white space on either side of the month to jot down notes.

And the fun and colorful Fruit calendar, which features a different fruity-licious illustration for each month of the year.

Gift Bow

I like reading others' blogs. Most of them are very inspiring and these people are very generous to share. Check out this gift bow that made from magazine page. Probably help you to save a few bucks.

In gift wrap emergencies when you've got the present but need some wrapping, here's an idea for turning a magazine page into a bow. There may be better ways to stick this thing together, but I used what I had on hand: staples and adhesive glue dots. Double stick tape should work, too.

Cut a magazine page lengthwise into 9 strips, 3/4" wide. Leave 3 of the strips full length. Cut one inch off 3 of the strips. Cut two inches off 2 of the strips. Cut the last strip down to 3 1/2" long.

Twist each strip to form a loop at both ends and staple it in the center. Shape the last, short strip into a circle and secure it with a glue dot.

Use other papers, like a map of your city. Now you can create your own gift bow :)

Cross Stitch

The last time I tried my hand at cross stitch I was about nine years old, I got this idea that I wanted to relearn how to cross stitch again.

I bought this lovely cross stich pattern on my trip to Thailand for about RM6.90.

Love this pattern, time to brush up on my skills :) Hopefully I can finish it fast before my final exam.

Well, according to some article cross-stitch is a popular form of counted-thread embroidery in which X-shaped stitches in a tiled, raster-like pattern are used to form a picture. Cross-stitch is often executed on easily countable evenweave fabric called aida cloth. The stitcher counts the threads in each direction so that the stitches are of uniform size and appearance. This form of cross-stitch is also called counted cross-stitch in order to distinguish it from other forms of cross-stitch.

Thanks for stopping by :)

My Craft Punches

Besides felt craft, I love handmade card that made with craft punches. Punches are most definitely one of my favorite crafting tools and I love collecting them, but always thought that they are a bit pricey. Therefore, I always got my craft punches from Daiso which is cheaper, RM5 for each, but they have limited design and I don't feel perfect cause din't own all of them (feels like never get enough of them) :D! Anyway, check out Martha Stewart's Punches! Very useful for scrapbooking projects :) Nice rite but expensive because most of them are imported. What to do, we spent money to maximize our satisfaction! :D

Cow or Sheep? Haha~ Either one, I not very sure too :p

Some of my craft punches~

Have a nice day :)

Felt Rose Tutorial

  Simple and Beautiful Felt Rose

I found this patten at How Joyful and printed it, cut it out and cut out my felt.  I used her template for the bigger size roses.  After I did the first one, I didn't need the pattern anymore and just eyeballed similar shapes for the different size of roses.
The materials that you need for this tutorial:

- Your color choice of felt

- Threat, needle and scissors

- Hot glue gun ( Since then, I don't have any hot glue gun, i use super glue )

- Download the pattern from How Joyful

(There are 4 different sizes for you from the template )

Enjoy! One of the tutorials i just love! :)

Felt Craft

This is my very 1st handmade felt craft!

Felt is a non-woven cloth that is produced by matting,
condensing and pressing woollen fibres.

While some types of felt are very soft, some are tough.
Usually I use the soft felt to make my felt craft.

I forgot when and how I fall in love with felt craft.
Many cultures have legends as to the origins of feltmaking.

If not mistaken the origins of feltmaking was actually europe.
( At first I thought it was from Japan)

Anyway, all this to say that this is my new way
of collecting craft projects and inspiration.

Have a nice day! :)
